Detective Ester Blanco finally has her ticket out of the post "Big One" earthquake remains of Los Angeles. She's found the young girl at the center of her missing persons case that will earn her the cash she needs to excavate the ruins of her apartment and leave town for good. Unfortunately, the child is being held captive in the bowels of a dangerous cult who believe her to be their church's cosmic salvation. To rescue the girl Ester must infiltrate the church . . . by joining it! What she uncovers leads to a far greater conspiracy involving the very fate of LA itself.
